This year, the responsible for carrying out the poster, or better said posters, which are four, promotion of the Fallas of Valencia has been Ibán Ramón, renowned Valencian Designer.
On January 20 they were presented at the IVAM, in a ceremony presided over by the Fallera Mayor of Valencia and festive culture Councillor, Pere Fuset.
For the realization of the posters has been taken into account, such as main context this year, the possible inclusion of the festivals Falla in the catalogue of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The graphic image can help achieve this goal.
Ibán Ramón, poster has to be considered a communication tool and not a simple representative teaches or a decorative environment.
Of "the estoreta velleta" to the great festival of LAS FALLAS.
Tradition is attributed the origin of the Festival of Fallas to the so-called made in March, with the start of the spring, the Guild of carpenters made cleaning of workshops and pulled borumballes and scrap wood to the street to be burned. With the time neighbors were joined with the collection of old junk and disused objects to burn at the stake. It is what is known as the estoreta velleta. In this graphic campaign, one of the main arguments is precisely this allusion to the so-called historical origin, a particular "estoreta" has been so from the Design Studio. Junk collection has been started in the same study and has been completed in workshops and market of local old which takes place on Sunday. The idea was to locate old objects, work with this image. The material and the immaterial is another conductive shafts. Objects (the old junk) are used as material to illustrate and reference hardly measurable and intangible aspects by its value and proportions, and its almost dreamlike ephemeral: the intangible.
Among the collected old and obsolete objects have been selected those that can bring a symbolic content, all made of wood.
We hope that these signs will help to achieve that Fallas are Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO #FallesUNESCO
