The famous Fallas artist and foguerer Antonio Verdugo Ballester, recipient of numerous awards throughout his career in Valencia, Sagunto, Alicante, torrent, among other locations, will be the Ambassador of Sagunto and Fallas in the French town of Millau during the first week of December.
Millau is a historical town of Roman origin which has approximately 25,000 inhabitants and is part of the Department of Aveyron, located within the region of the Central Pyrenees.
Twinned with the city of Sagunto since 2006, they will perform a series of activities from 6 to 8 December in common between the two towns, among which stands out the gift by the Valencian town of two representative of the symbols of the French town ninots, as they are a fairy and a pastor and that have been made by Antonio Verdugo.
In addition, there will be a cultural exchange with local artists in one of the emblematic places of Millau as the old mill, where also a Conference on festivals and traditions of both locations will be and where Fallas will have great prominence.
Both ninots, made in exclusivity for the occasion from Antonio Verdugo, will be exposed permanently in it House of it culture of Millau, as test of the twinning and cordiality between the villa French and Sagunto and the best legacy of some parties that cross borders and that soon will be named heritage intangible of the humanity of the UNESCO.
